The Colorado Railroad Museum has been our best partner in the 315 restoration. We borrowed an array of parts for reproduction, including an Economy fire door, sander valves, and a variety of other parts. We bugged poor Andy Daum to distraction with a continous cascade of questions. Lou Dahm machined water glasses for us. Charles Albi has also helped us put together a history of 315 for a book we plan to produce on the project.
There are others players to thank. The D&SNG has simply been great, letting us use their machine shop and tools, and we received expert assistance from their employees. The Nevada State Railroad Museum in Boulder City allowed us to borrow and reproduce parts from 315's sister, Uintah/Eureka-Nevada #12.
Dan Markoff assisted us from time to time. There are plenty others to thank.
