O.K., I cannot make no promises. Some "breakthrough" stuff has happened in the last two weeks, but still plenty to do.
A rundown of things done...
1. Piping could be done in the next two weeks. We need to fabricate the rear sander pipes and a special coupling for the equalizing reservoir is finally in.
2. Final painting and lettering will be done in the next two weeks
3. The master mechanic front end could be done in the next two weeks.
4. Tender is done.
5. Everything hinges on the crosshead/main rod/piston/Stephenson valve gear fitting together properly. So far that has been problematic, and we have a commitment to make the locomotive right mechanically.
It is close. I wish I could say more. It will be the first 2-8-0 to run road mileage on the Narrow Gauge in 52 years. Film at 11.
