I take great exception to the above. As a professional railroader with over 25 years of experience in steam, diesels, passenger operations, freight operations and working as a manager for over 13 years, I have found oftentimes it is better to let those who want to rant and rave have thier say while I stay in the shadows.
I am very familiar with the above problems, the C&TS has copies of the D&RGW's track standards, and has used them for over 30 years. I am not interested in entering into this discussion, as it is a pointless one. The FRA will do as it sees fit, it has before, it will do so again in the future. Fighting it is a losing battle, it is better to help the FRA more fully understand the situation than be uncooperative and piss them off.
That is how that mess got started to begin with.
