Thank You Mark
First of all I am on your side not against you. I don't know if you even knew but I did try and help you all with a web site during the battle. I was hoping you would read my post and think about some of what I said. I also was contacted by your gift shop person and Doris Osterwald around the time you all opened The Gorge about how we sold Ticket to Toltec on the train and I not only told them what we have tried that worked but also what we had tried that did not work.
During the big C&TSRR war I saw lots of innocent people injured financially and I have not forgotten that and it bothers me to see this happening again. IMHO you all have every right to be mad as hell and feel a need to let the world know who and what the CHS is and how they do things. When I was in Georgetown in May I talked to numerous folks including merchants and NOT ONE had a good thing to say about the CHS. When the old operator was brought up it was like you all walked on water except for the web site
I would appreciate it if you would at the least give my idea on what to do with the Georgetown web site some serious thought. I understand it is your decision and only your decision and what ever you decide I will respect your decision. I do think if you turn the site into a very positive Georgetown web site there is a much better chance that the merchants and the residents especially the new ones will start asking the right questions about and to the CHS.
I think you should be aware that a large number of merchants are now asking the type of questions you suggest. Your efforts to support this movement could greatly enhance your position and gain many allies. There is also the possibility that those merchants would be willing to provide links to your Royal Gorge site and treat it very favorably should you choose to support them in this fashion.
