Well stated Mr. Maxwell. Who is your "source" Mr. Poston? If he is so well qualified then why is he hiding? If your statement has any truth to it then it is an important enough issue that said source should not be hiding behind anonimity. Exactly what the hell good comes of posting some peice of unverified and unbacked up crap like this? Why not take the radical step of talking with the man who built #12's boiler? He can be found IN SILVER PLUME working on #12. As an aside, the boiler was BUILT IN COLORADO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back up your statements with verifiable facts and sources willing to put their names to their public statements. GLRR is gone and god himself aint bringing them back, that is the unfortunate fact. The Georgetown Loop Railroad still exists and needs to continue, regardless of who owns or operates it. Working to ensure that Railstar fails will only hurt the communities surrounding the Loop as well as Colorado tourist railroads in general. This course of action is hardly fitting for an organization that has "Historic Railroad Preservation" in its name.
As for the 44 ton diesel, it exists, it is complete, and it will be in Silver Plume as soon as the weather cooperates, and you may quote ME on that.
