No question Otto was a little "odd" , but that was the extent of it . Women ,while often putting us males to the test , also keep men grounded or we would all be "odd" ! Before the railroad hobby went mainstream about 30 years ago ,the hobby had enough "oddballs" to get a reputation that still haunts the fellowship to some degree . Otto was well-liked ,as he was generous with his photos and a strong supporter of rail preservation a a crucial time . Like many pioneer photographers ,his film record is a hell of a legacy . His for was at his housae when he passed in 1970 ,though it hadn't run in years . Supposedly it was bought by an auto enthusiast who planned to restore it .
