Otto Perry's Railroad Pilgrimage by Sundance has a brief biography on Perry by Dell McCoy. It states he would travel over 100 miles on his bicycle until 1920 when he purchased a Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was also a model railroader with an American Flyer "S" gauge set-up on the attic floor in his Denver home.
Don't forget about all the 16mm movies he also took, much of which is available today on video tape and DVD.
If someone is ambitious out there what I would like to see is a book published of his photos that brings the photos together in chronilogical order of one of his weekend trips. I tried to piece one of his RGS late 30's trips together from published photos but it is no small task. Basically the format would follow the train or trains in sequencial order from Durango to wherever Otto called it a day. The photos all exist at DPL it just takes someone with the time, talent and assuming it is economically viable the $ to bring it together.
