Frankly, the original "blue" version looks best to me. All of the other edits, frankly, look intentionally garish.
It's a cold, snowy, day with harsh light and wispy clouds. The original captures the cold well, and I like it that way.
Intrigued by your first statement...If you have a bunch of crummy photos stashed away, your capability as a photographer doesn't change whether people see them or not.
Our opinions and your reputation mean squat if this is a hobby for you. If anything, hiding "bad" photos away hides the reality of being a really good photographer: you have the capability of composing absolute gems, but still take a number of marginal shots, too. That seems fascinating in of itself, and also pretty naturally human.
And let's be honest here. Your "lousy" photos of narrow gauge trains still top the interest list because they are generally pretty good. You want to see lousy? I've got lousy!
