Although I doubt it would work, transfering the loop property to the something like the Colorado half of the Bi-state commission for the C&TS would give oversight of a RR resource to someone who has a better understanding of operating the mountain RR and the problems that are there.
Although I doubt that any of the K series mikes could be used up on the loop, both could share some assets. At least in purchasing flues and other replaceable items and maybe rolling stock (i.e. getting Antonito crews in winter to build a C&TS style passenger car from SG underframes for use up at the loop.)
Maybe a small repair shed off of the loop where Friends of the C&TS could work on the equipment from the C&TS and the Loop like Colorado Springs is now.
