Rotary snow plows breaking windows is not new. First item is from the RGS and the second from the D&RGW
The RGS rotary on the Hesprus stretch yesterday became quite busy for a little while. It was in the heart of the city. The nearest buildings were 200 feet away and all for 500 feet had their windows broken the snow and ice resisted stubbornly and the rotary got mad and sent down the line with a hop, skip and a jump and a tiger.

Last Tuesday, the rotary snowplow (OO) came from Gunnison to clear railroad tracks so coal trains could get through. Drifts were piled high and as the huge rotary went through them, flying snow broke windows in the nearby section house occupied by Mr & Mrs Frank Maestaz. Mrs. Maestaz, who happened to be standing near a window was unexpectedly covered with snow. The rotary had to make another trip up Friday.
