I agree that there appears to be complimentary skill sets that might work well together from both organizations. I found this on the Central Car Repair (another of Iowa Pacific's companies)website:
"Central Car Repair began operations in May 2002 with locations in Brownfield and Kermit, Texas. A third location began operation in Globe, Arizona in December 2004. CCR’s newest location is at Alamosa, Colorado, with operations beginning in January 2006."
If only we had the foresight/resources to have saved the D&RGW's Alamosa facilities back in the late 60's...
Maybe relaying the 3rd rail over the SL&RG from Antonito to Alamosa isn't a far fetched idea after all...
