I hope the smell at the Indiana Jone place has dissipated by the time I get there in two weeks. I do agree with Kevin that the Narrow Gauge Inn is a step down from today's Motel 6. T'here was a time when Motel 6 had some run down properties as well, but that seems to have been fixed after Accor took over. But if you are up early and out late riding trains, just looking for a bed and don't want to drive 30 miles to Alamosa, the Narrow Gauge Inn is okay. And Michael is right, Radar is a cool cat. I think he is the one that has learned to reach up and pull down the handle to open the breakfast room door so he can come in to beg.
