I have stayed in two of the three, and will stay in the third in a couple of weeks during the Friends' 315 trips. The Narrow Gauge Inn is very basic but okay if you are not picky. Basically it is a bit run down, but is kept reasonably clean and at least in my experience things like the air conditioning and hot water work. But it has a lot of rough edges if you (or your wife) look too closely. The Steam Train Hotel is pretty decent but has a high funk factor. I stayed there several years ago and it was fine, once you got used to the odd ball furniture and arrangement. I would consider it a step above the Narrow Gauge Inn, but the funk factor might be a turn off for some folks. In about two weeks I will be staying at the Indiana Jones Bed and Breakfast for three nights. A friend stayed there several years ago and said it was pretty decent (he posts here, and might chime in on is own). Both the Steam Train Hotel and the Indiana Jones places had a reputation for being run by some folks with a drug problem, but I am led to believe the management of both has changed and you are no longer dealing with some folks with a spacey look. But speaking of drugs, remember that recreational pot is legal in Colorado, and last time I stayed at the Narrow Gauge Inn I noticed that they were promoting their premises (at least one room) as a place to come and smoke your pot. I think there are one or more places to legally buy pot in Antonito.
