Return journey from Oberwald:
Leaving Oberwald - the 'A' sign signifies start of rack section.
Approaching the spiral tunnel before Gletsch, climbing beside the River Rhone.
Water stop at Gletsch.
This diesel (Tm 506 - built Asper for the CF du Jura in 1953) is attached to rear of the train through the summit tunnel- the tunnel is on an ascending grade - to rescue the train in case of difficulties
Seen at Realp - probably acquired along with several locomotives including two class HG 4/4 0-8-0RT's retrieved from Vietnam - which I didn't get to see
