I'm sorry John, but I'm not prepared to hold the bus. This is the kind of "stuff" that the Friends should have gotten some level of control over long ago. The Friends are supposed to be the advocates for preservation and historic integrity. It is a matter of organizational effectiveness, and I would say they are rather ineffective. The Friends and CTSMC are cut from the same cloth, even if they are legally seperate entities. If they are not cut from the same cloth, then that is the fault of the Friends. The basic problem is nobody in the hierachy of power seems to understand what is involved in historic integrity or, more likely, simply has other priorties. Unless there is some kind of sea change in priorities, the C&TS is going to be no more a musueum than the D&S is.
