Thanks everyone for the info. Craft called me, before I opened these up, and we hashed it out, and the last maps are pretty good at clearing up my vision of these trains.
Conclusions.
(1)Train with steamer 806 is the Train to Alamosa,
backing into the depot, shot from the overpass near the roundhouse shown in the last photo. Then there is a shot of it at the depot shot from the overpass next to the depot....engineer is oiling the valve gear. So, the question is has he just arrived and backed in to the depot, or could he go straight in from Alamosa. I would think this is just prior to departure.
(2) Other engines are headed toward the roudhouse, thus could be headed either north or south, since they have to curve one way or the other.
(3) Burlington Diesel Freight is headed southward.
All this shot sometime between 1951 and 1953, when the Alamosa Train was run during daylight hours after the NG San Juan was discontinued. See we got NG content in here after all!!
