Based on seeing our train to the Royal Gorge pull through the depot, I would conclude that the Steam Train we see with the 2 cars is pointed Northward. Of course this is based on the fact the platforms faced east, which according to the map and your note are not correct. If in fact the platforms face west, then the 2 car train would be headed in the right direction for Alamosa, but the passenger trains in your photos would have me totally confused.
