Re: Horn Blasts? How about Open Season!!

As a cyclist myself (I completed 4 100-mile rides at the tender age of 61 a couple of years ago), I absolutely HATE lane-hoggers, as they anger motorists who may someday take it out on one of us innocents - namely, me.
Horn blasts, hell. I think there should be open season on the leftmost rider(s) when they're not riding single file in areas where there's not a wide shoulder.
At the Tahoe Century in '03, there was an idiot who kept riding in the middle of the lane when there was no reason to do so - some of us cyclists complained to the highway patrol, and they yanked him off the course. This SHOULD be done more frequently.
