Never heard of this railroad.
Point on the C&TS is that is unique because it was once part of CLASS 1 Railroad, and none of the other places existing today can say that. It was unique in that it was the last one in steam.
As for colors, the maroon was only until around 1918, not the period the engines of today would ever have pulled. Green ran until 1950-51, then Grande gold was used until 1980, including on the Silverton branch. So the green or the gold has more in-service years than the maroon, or red, or whatever you call it.
D&S and C&TS have an opportunity to be really special amongst heritage railroads, since they have an important heritage to begin with. Without tapping into that heritage, they are just another tourist pike! Maybe now is the time for them to wake up and realize that for 2006! They may even sell more tickets!! Some folks like to feel like they are riding something that is historic instead of just a choo-choo train that has no sense of anything.
