I kinda like RED. Maybe because I have been a firefighter forever or maybe because my pickup
is bright red. My pick up is a '97 and it has NOT turned pink with age, it is still bright RED. I'll
see them next month (when I take Wife on the moonlight ride) and then decide if I like the color
or not.
I have tank trailers with 15 year old paint jobs that still have bright RED lettering on them
because they are painted with Dupont's Imron paint that just does not fade enough to be an issue.
I will concede that they have not been out in the high altitude sun all of there lives, just in the
ever shining Texas oilfield sun.
I think that the color we each would like to see painted on the cars is based on our ideas of
aesthetics and what we each think would look best. I betcha there was some serious howling
when the Grande Gold was first applied and now many of us think they look great that way.
In my opinion if the RED cars will draw the tourist then it is the right color.
All of the above and a two dollar bill will get you a cup of coffee in some places.
