Good points about different trims. I never paid much attention to it, cause it was C&TS to start with. I know that when we ran charters on the C&TS Earl and others made a good effort to get the little details right for me and others. They took pride in that, I must say.
What bothers me is that as time goes by, more folks that care about these issues fade away, and so does the need for getting it right. Also it worries me that little by little the old authentic stuff gets forgotten or lost. Painting the water tank in Chama with Flying C&TS was an example of this in my opinion. The restoration otherwise was splendid and needed. We can look at the Needleton Tank as a model for the right way to do it, with the old Herald and so forth. I would love to see that on all the C&TS tanks too. After all they go to great pains to get the colors correct for the buildings and tanks then put the new name on it....does add up to me!
I would be willing to start a campaign to send letters to the Commission on this matter if someone were willing to join me. My first suggestion would be for folks to send a personal letter to the commission, and if they want to send them all to me, I would be willing to print them here, and MAIL them all in one batch, to safe a lot of wasted effort.
Does this sound like a good idea to anyone, or am I just trying to make yellow snow, if you get my drift!
Gotta run, Senior night at the Basketball game tonight, and I gotta be there.

PS...Like I said above, rather than just complain about the situation, I am willing to try to do something, but my one voice won't mean much.
