The C&TS 19 and GLR 15 are 47 tonners as a previous post stated. They are electrically equal to the 44 tonners. The cabs were set much lower than the 44 tonners to provide operation in close quarters. This necessitated putting the auxiliary generator and air compressors in the small hoods located in front of the engineer and behind the fireman's seat. The trucks are articulated, which makes them very different than a 44 tonner. They are setup to provide for three different track gauges without altering the trucks, 3', 3'6" and meter guage. The size of the trucks probably added quite a bit to the additional weight over a 44 tonner.
