That's true...because if you start bringing Sierra and V&T (of course the two MOST famous shortlines...), you're bound to clog stuff up.
Wading through standard gauge SL stuff for NG stuff...that's how I feel wading through modeling stuff on 'real' railroading forums. In fact, I had thought NGDF was modeling...until I actually went here and saw that it wasn't.
Mark brings up some good points. The 'park trains' yahoo group occasionally discusses off-scale stuff of interest (say...a full size steamer for scale, or the Loop). An occasional off-topic tangent is fine as long as it doesn't get maybe 150 posts following it...
Oh and I forgot to add about #18, reported for sale at $450,000...
No Joseph Bell, you can't run #18 on the Georgetown Loop...but I did hear you now know the difference between standard and narrow gauge. (just some comic relief...)
