It's not that Black and White. 60 is a fairly well kept up park display. It's really not getting any worse where it is. My concern is that the "powers-that-be" will realize, after taking 60 apart, what we already know. That's when the engine moves off the front burner and on to a back burner where priorities like reassembling it back to what it was, could very well get left behind.
And what about coach #70? I don't like where CHS is going with this situation, and while I respect your point (and I would prefer operating equipment as well), I think their ends to a means are not preservation minded and may destroy more than they preserve.
BTW - The 2 other S.A. outside frame Baldwins, other #71 in Blackhawk and #111 in Breckenridge would be far better for the loop than #9 & #60.
