Not good news but the notice is appreciated.
I met Gordon via Bob Richardson. Gordon was teaching at CU in Boulder, I was commuting daily to Boulder for work, so we became roommate's for one semester (Jan. 1968). Gordon had a keen interest in history like no other and had already written a small book on early western military uniforms. It was amazing to see some of his later books and drawings.
We used to dine often at the Gondolier or Ricardo's Restaurant on Broadway and Gordon was fond of making Nacho's. We lost touch over the years but I remember our last telephone conversation several years ago like it was yesterday.
It is always a shock beyond words when someone is gone.
