Re: A few Gordon recollections

Gordon's Chili Line book (THE resource on the line in my opinion) has been a decades long inspiration for me both as a modeler and fan of the Santa Fe Branch. I "discovered" the Chili Line when I picked up a copy of his soft cover Colo Rail Annual reprint book in a hobby shop in the late 70's and have been happily "hooked" ever since. I packed a copy for several of my early trips along the line. I consider myself fortunate to have met and talked with him, however briefly, about the Chili Line at a Narrow Gauge Convention. I was not aware of his Civil War interest; one I also share. Thank you, Mr. Chappell for introducing me to the Chili Line.
