Gordon S. Chappell, 1939-2021.

Sad news that Gordon has left us. Gordon was a significant chronicler of narrow gauge history, and many folks here knew him. He also did research into Civil War and Indian War history, and was the Regional Historian for the Pacific region of the National Park Service. Gordon and I were friends for over 60 years. I'll probably be posting more about Gordon when I have had a chance to pull together some thoughts.

The NGDF was started by Don Richter and is currently operated in his memory by Nathan Holmes and others.
