Re: The hotel?

I've stayed in the little hotel in Kraankuil. The room we had didn't have a bathroom, but just down the hall was a fully equipped bathroom with a huge bathtub. We came back late one time from night shots at Orange River. I felt grotty, and didn't want to go to bed that dirty, so I marched down to the bathroom. It was after midnight and dead quiet. As I was soaking in the tub I became aware of increasing sound and light coming in the window above the tub. The window faced toward DeAar and wasn't more than twenty feet or so from the track. Not one to turn away from a moving steam locomotive, I stood up in the tub naked and dripping wet to witness a pair of 25's roar through Kraankuil at full track speed. Wow. If that wasn't enough, a minute later another pair went south toward DeAar. The whole building shook.
