Hmmm. Two places come to mind but not exactly at stations, but near them. One is Kraankuil, which is south of Orange River(Next stop headed to De Aar). The second would be Witput, which is the next station north of Orange River headed toward Kimberly. Both were good spots to camp-out with the little motels. You had to go way out of the way to get from Witput to south of Orange River, and Kraankuil was the first place. That is unless you drive the service Road from Orange River headed south. We didn't chase on it, but did go on it a little ways. The curve looks kinda familiar but then it looks like a lot of other ones on that line as well. Back in those days it was all good. Our summer is their winter so good crisp weather was the recipe for good steam action. Probably the best trips I ever took!
