No, that's not what I was saying. I was trying to caution would-be explorers to be aware that map information is not always current or correct. This includes sattelite and aerial photos. I know of two ways into Big Horn, starting from FR103, and I have taken 3 different routes into Lower Whiplash from Big Horn. There are at least 2 different routes to Whiplash from the east that don't include Hwy 17. And there are more roads I want to check out. (edit to add) There is no substitute for field work.

Several of the routes in the Lower East Side require crossing the track. Not all crossings have flat approaches. I have no idea what a Mazda Tribute is, or what it can do. I have a Jeep Cherokee, which has been adequate. In most situations, 4wd is not needed, except at times the lower gear ratios can give more control in rough ground. Good clearance is necessary for the lesser traveled trails.
