The Delaware & Hudson had their 150 anniversary in 1973. They ran a special steam train from Albany north to Montreal. Well a whole group had caught the train at Plattsburgh and decided to chase it north to Rouses Point. As luck would have it, the railroad ran straight, while you had to go west to I-87 to then head north. Needless to say everyone was afraid they would miss the next photo shoot. Ten cars crested a hill on the Interstate doing 90 with the state tooper pointing his radar at them. As they all passed at speed he simply smiled as they all waved at him......Yes we caught the train at Rouses Point!
