It was towed to Durban before shipping (the rumour we got was that it had had a full boiler overhaul....no way). I think ideas of laying 3'6" gauge track for it to run on were "somewhat premature" as it couldn't just run if the track was regauged because it exceeds the standard loading gauge, 10' wide as opposed to 9'6" max (from memory). I agree that if it hadn't reached here it would now be razorblades somewhere.
Now it wears a full set of rods.
