Here are a couple of shots of standard 25NC's taken back in 1985.
The first one is 3439 getting started at Witput station with the afternoon all stops De Aar to Kimberly passenger train. I think it had the usual 18 cars.
The second shot is on the single track Bloemfontein to Bethlehem line, which was much more scenic than the mainline. An unidentified 25NC has just left Fauriesburg late in the afternoon with a short freight and is heading west toward Bloemfontein.
