This photo didn't really capture what I had in mind, but it does show the mill in the distance. It is looking through a cut in the fill for the tail track of the wye that is a grade out to the mill coming from one of the stub switches shown in the set of photos I posted. I guess from the appearance that the tail track was shortened to a length that still allowed for turning an engine, but not a full pass. consist, which was probably rarely needed once track had advanced beyond Whitney to Tipton in the early years of the rr. In any event the mill bld. colapsed in the late Spring of '07 if I remember right.
