Good point Dick. The suppression of fire has caused huge changes to our wildlands. Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the Year of Fires (a great book by this title was written by Stephen Pyne) which led to the Forest Service policy of stamping them all out. Too late we realized that fire is often an important part of the ecosystem...
