You may not be aware that there is a guy building a copy of the Jupiter in Northern Illinois. He had all the casting poured last winter and is currently fabricating other parts. The boiler will be built by a 3rd party. I'm involved to the extent that I've been helping him run down some misc. items (like an air comp.) so he doesn't have to build everything from scratch.
Interestingly he's not what I'd call a railfan. He's just a businessman who seems to think he can do this and make a little money at the same time. It won't be an 100% exact copy, as it will be made to operate anywhere in the US. When he's done I image he'd be willing to build a C-16 or three.
