Thanks for the notes. There are some problems with the Chinese engines. Reports I have heard is that the quality of workmanship isn't as good as from the Baldwin works. There were also some boiler codes that had to be waived for the 141 & 142 to be imported. Perhaps John Craft can enlighten us on that, and the effect the new codes would have.
