Any incentive to re-lay NG, Antonito to Alamosa?

I couldn't recall if this topic has already been discussed, but now that the track from Antonito to Alamosa is owned by a smaller road (no longer SP/DRGW/UP) has anyone had the wild idea to add a third rail so narrow gauge equipment can return to historic Alamosa? Any reason why the C&TS would or would not like that to happen? Would Antonito not like it? Just curious.....
