Jim Grigsby has schooled me on a lot of what I know about SVRy history, so maybe my oops on the name of the dam was a junior momemt!winking smiley
Back on the discussion of consists in the later days of SVRy, I believe one of the refer cars that had been out of service was rebuilt in the early 40's as well as some stock cars. I can look it up for sure this evening. The photo I posted is from a collection of photos taken by a man named Walter Grande. The collection is in the archives of the Pac.Nw Chap of the NRHS. In the caption for the photo he states that the rr was also hauling some ore at this time. No idea about it's point of loading or destination.
