Prototypical SVRy Freight Consist

In another thread my friend Jim Grigsby mentioned that a prototypical train would be empty flats and a couple box cars. This is very true westbound. Here is a photo taken in Oct. 1939 of an eastbound train of loads. The photographer noted that it is about 15 mile out of Baker near the junction with a logging line. This is probably in the area just above Morgan Dam (now under Phillips Resevoir). Also noted was that it is between 40 and 50 cars.
Notice the car just ahead of the caboose. I have cropped the photo (2nd photo posted) to show just this car. It looks like the car has serious issues. Makes you wonder if this car made it to S.Baker in one piece?
