Steve,
Let's stop beating a dead horse, shall we? Each time you reply to a Loop thread, you start bashing Jason. Personally, I see no reason for this, as Jason didn't do anything wrong. To be truthful, I agree with what was said in his letter, as do other ex-railstar employees (names not need to be said, I'm not going to drag anyone else into this). 6 out of 11 operation and shop employees (myself included) that started the 2006 season quit, or did not return, from the end of the 2006 season to July of this year. That's over half. And speaking from experiance, working on a railroad is quite an amazing experiance. So why would so many people leave? There are many ugly things that can be brought to light about the maintenance of both the #9 and #12 that I am sure Railstar would be very displeased if I disclosed. There were days I was afraid to work on the train, because I knew how unsafe the equipment was. Such as the order you gave me Steve on cutting out 3 of 5 cars because the brakes rubbed on the wheels. No, Railstar's operating practices aren't safe. BUT, we never did injure a single person, AND every employee was accomidating to the public. The only complaint that I recieved was when the conductor and myself refused to let a lady take the mine tour when she hadn't purchased tickets for it. To sum up though, I'm worried about the future of the Loop, and I really believe that something is going to go very wrong up there if current maintenance practices and running practices are continued. And for those of you wondering if I'm a disgruntled employee, I'm not. I left by my own choice and refused an inventation to work another season at the Loop.
