The doors that you guys are talking about are called "end doors". they are on the stock cars and the box cars. The ones on the stock cars open vertically, whereas the ones on the box cars slide sideways. Sloan's book has a list of stock cars (not all) and everyone on his list that has a end door (some don't have them) has it on the "b" end.
