Keith,

I know which end of a car is the "B" end. Almost every stock car I've seen pictures of, as well as all of the plans I've seen has the lumber door on the "B" end. The 3000 series boxcars have their lumber door on the "A" end. I can't say why this is so...I've always thought that the stock cars and the box cars had basically the same structure.
