Stock Car Conundrum

I was doing some reading on the Grande's stockcars recently and ran across an interesting Jerry Best pic of 5802 (it is in both the RRobb stockcar book (although mis-labeled as being in Dolores, while it is in fact in Rico) as well as in Taking Stock). What's interesting about this is that it dosen't have the lumber/end door on the "B" end like most (I can't say all here...) other cars. A friend of mine here once claimed it was on the "A" end, but I've never seen any other shots of this car to confirm this. And Vic Stone apparently missed this as well.
So does anybody know anything about this car? Anyone got any pics of the "A" end (according to TS, it lasted until the end of the NG)? Inquiring minds want to know!
