Re: C&TS Strategic Planning

Let me follow my initial comments with these:

As far as "just another train ride" the C&TS is certainly one of the best. Great friendly staff, great engines, nice clean user-friendly cars (even if I don't like the current color) great mid-day lunch stop.
I have ridden it many times, and hope to again, many more times.

Those of us who enjoy history would embrace a "living museum" of the D&RGW in the year 19_ _ from end to end.
In our current society I just wonder if there are enough of "us" with enough money to make it happen.

Perhaps end-to-end preservation is not the answer. Several key sites preserved, with interpretive guided walking tours, may be much more practical.

That would also allow the end-to-end track structure to be maintained and modernized to allow a bit faster ride in some locations.
