The larger truth is that none of us as RGRPC board members ever wore "Friends" hats or "Not-Friends" hats; we wore "C&TS" hats. During my two-year tenure I don't ever recall a board vote that was not unanimous. We worked by mutual respect and consensus. I do recall there were people who kept trying to create myths to the contrary, but that said more about them than it did about us.
I regret I didn't serve on the RGRPC board later with Brian. Perhaps then I'd have had a chance to force him to exercise his vote on the losing end of some resolution or other. You know, maybe by putting to a vote one of those fancy management principles he kept finding in those books of his
