Carlos, not a negative word was said by me, or by Kim, about the work any of the employees, current or past are doing to contribute to the railroad's survival, despite which side of the State Line they are from or reside.
Also, not a negative word was said about the Colorado taxpayers who lose their hard earned money to the Colorado Legislature who decides how that money is and isn't spent.
The position of the writer of the Denver Post article is outrage about the fact that the State of New Mexico acts like they are proud enough to realize openly that they regard the railroad as an asset to the State. Your Colorado State Legislature does not. Instead, they act as though it is a liability, and only grudgingly cough up whatever minimum amount of support is absolutely required. If I were to take aim at any aspect of the problems faced by the C&TS, that is where much of them reside, and if you don't agree, well, too bad, I'm sorry.
I do not like to participate in this kind of discussion about the C&TS, because it never accomplishes anything. And as you can see, even a simple statement of support to a comment I agreed with always gets somebody, you apparently this time, lathered up like I peed on your shoe.
I will not say that I am sorry I thought Kim's remarks are well said, because they are.
You are not going to get away with calling my brief remark in support "bashing Colorado".
Believe me, Carlos. If I wanted to bash anything or anyone, I am quite capable of doing it openly.
Let's get past this, it isn't about you.
