Turnout size for your 2-8-2 will use a #7 very well as narrow gauge, which is equalient to #8 in SG. The curvature in a SG #8 140# rail is 12 degrees and 30 minutes curve. A SG #10 has a 7 degree 30 minute curve in the turnout side. Your Mikes will handle 12.5 very well but the sharper the turnout the more the wear on flanges and rail and stress on timber. Get the biggest frog you can get and afford to install the more timber.
