Yeah, Rick, about the time Walter Berry was proposing his development adjacient to Georgetown Lake and on top of Saxon Mountain, including bringing the Loop railroad through town and into his development, someone in town commissioned a study of the effects on the historic buildings of running the railroad through town. Amazingly (or not), the study determined that the vibrations from the train would cause all the buildings to fall down. So, no RR, no development, and Mr. Berry wound up just giving all the land on Saxon Mountain to the Georgetown Society for "preservation". To this day there is nothing but a dusty, vacant lot next to Georgetown Lake.
