I was fortunate to go through the Fremont years ago when the roof was still on. All the gauges were there and intact on the Italian marble (or so our tour guide said) panel. A fellow was living nearby in a single wide mobile home. When he saw Gail I looking around, he unlocked the gate and gave us a tour. I sure hope it gets completely restored. As an Electronics Engineer I find these old stations facinating. The wooden source pipe was intact in many spots along the road. The power poles were there with a lot of the lines in place, but with several breaks in the lines along the way. Almost makes me wish I had gone power in my senior year!
Am I correct in understanding that Fremont was the power source for the Sumpter Valley dredges?
